Partners

The University of Udine was established in 1978 in order to foster higher education in innovative sectors (e.g. informatics, preservation of cultural artifacts, food technologies) as well as cultural renovation and technological innovation in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. Since 1980, Friuli, together with the rest of north-eastern Italy, has experienced an extraordinary phase of economic growth. At the same time, Udine University has increased significantly its impact and it has made a considerable reputation for itself, both in research and teaching. It can now be considered among the top fifteen universities in Italy.

The B.M. Birla Science Centre is a Birla Group non-profit institution, based in Hyderabad, for the dissemination of science. It is recognized by the Government as an Institute of Higher Education and a Scientific Laboratory for Advancement of Technology, Research and Development. It hosts a unique hands-on science museum, a planetarium, a dinosarium, an art gallery on contemporary Indian painting and an archaeological museum. Its hosts also start-up companies in IT and web enabled services. A branch of the centre is based in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan.

Other partners in the projects are: University of Siena, University of Bologna, Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, C-DAC Hyderabad, Birla Institute of Technology, Institute of Mathematical Sciences.
